The Literacy Matters! portal is for teachers, librarians and researchers to use for advocacy and research purposes on the importance of information literacy.
Information literacy is a foundational skill required to participate in education and knowledge acquisition and development for the advancement of all peoples. Being able to locate information, develop digital dexterity, interpret and use authoritative information is now becoming a basic skill for all people.
This portal has been collated and is maintained by the Western Australian School Library Association (WASLA) in collaboration with the School Library Association of Victoria (SLAV).
